A new partner has joined INSIDDE

Last August the EC approved the amendment in which the consortium asked Centro Regional de Bellas Artes de Oviedo to join the INSIDDE project as partner, replacing the Doerner Institut. Since this non-profit institution is in charge of managing the Museo de Bellas Artes de Asturias (Museum of Fine Arts of Asturias), its role within the work plan will be focused on, but not restricted to, giving technical advice for the development of the terahertz scanner, providing artworks for validation purposes and testing the smartphone application based on augmented reality.

The museum hosts one of the best public art collections of Spain, consisting of near 15 000 pieces from the fourteenth century to the present. Paintings and scultures from renowned artists (El Greco, Goya, Soroya, Picasso) are part of the permanent exhibition in Oviedo. Dr Alfonso Palacio is the director of this institution.
